I have appreciated hearing from many women who have read "Hysterectomy & Ovary Removal: What ALL Women Need to KNOW". The stories are so poignant and touching, they really tell the reality of what women actually go through from the beginning of their female problems to having them resolved, or not resolved, and what their lives have been like since their surgeries. I realized that it is one thing to know the biochemical effects on the body, it is another to hear what happens to women's lives based on these changes. Recognizing the need for all women to hear what so many have to share, I am creating a new book that will be a collection of personal experiences. All outcomes will be represented, from women feeling it was the "best thing" that ever happened to them, to those who feel it is the "worst thing" that ever happened to them.
Women reading others' experiences can then make their decision regarding these surgeries from a truly informed place. I hope that you will see the value in creating this new book and will want to share your experience with others. I am looking for the full spectrum of experiences. My concept is to represent each person with everything from a paragraph up to several pages with descriptions of how the surgery impacted their life, and what life is like today. All formats are most welcome, including poems, journal entries, or any way you want to express your experience.
After receiving incredible letters from the partners and family members of hysterectomized women, the book will also include a section that relay how the surgery has impacted their lives. Please ask them to participate with their stories also.
